There are only two days left to sign up for the second edition of the  Premio Cuore Digitale.

 

Thirty individuals from start-ups, makers, developers, digital inventors and have been organized into 5 teams that will compete with creativity and skills at the solidarity hackathon that will be held in Rome on September 29-30 (Rome Jubilee Press Point, Via dei Penitenzieri 14). The aim is to develop a digital prototype that will improve the life of visually impaired individuals. The award will go to the most innovative model that promises to improve the life of those with visual disabilities.

Besides the “Cuore Digitale” Award, the winning team will receive:

  • A cash voucher offered by the Rome branch of the Unione italiana ciechi e ipovedenti
  • Co-working space at the Link Campus University to complete the prototype that will be donated to  the Unione italiana ciechi e ipovedenti
  • 2 training days in IBM
  • Intel hardware kit
  • Prestigious institutional recognition

 

“Cuore Digitale 2016” Award – Hackathon for Visual Disabilities is sponsored by the Italian Senate, the City of Rome, the University of Tor Vergata and “Roma per il Giubileo”; partners include: Intel, Link Campus University, Ricoh, BCC Roma, Eurizon, Pegaso Università Teleamtatica, Techsoup Italia, Fiaba Onlus, Fondazione Mondo Digitale, RomaMakers, Elis.
