Francesca Maria Pia, who is 18 and is currently enrolled in her fifth year at the Liceo Enrico Fermi in Cosenza, is one of the young women who have participated in the Ambizione Italia for Youth educational programme.
The first thing that Francesca tells us about herself is that she has been curious about technology, computers and computer science since she was a child. In elementary school, she attended a computer science course and learned to use Office. And she continued to cultivate this interest, eventually learning to develop videogames thanks to the video tutorials on the Unity Learn Platform. She has worked in teams on Microsoft Learn and followed the extra activities recommended by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale on LinkedIn Learning.
“I decided to participate in the project because I believe that, today, technology is all around us and it is important to understand its every aspect. If young people learned to fully exploit technology, it would be a great boon for employment.”
Francesca Maria Pia recommended that all her classmates also participate in the project. “As students, we often tend to believe that this type of course is not very interesting, but Ambizione Italia for Youth was fun and allowed me to discover new things every day!”
“Participating in this free course really enriched my cultural baggage. I trust that what I have learned will help me achieve my objectives.” Francesca wants to become a psychologist. She has already chosen the university she wishes to attend, and she also already knows what she would like to do for work: “Thanks to the courses on Marketing Specialists, I acquired the skills required to work in large companies. This is my greatest dream!”
