Videogame School

The Future ReCoded educational tour unfolds a new tool – a webinar – to provide students who have good coding skills with an advanced course.

Students attending IIS Emanuele Morselli in Gela will participate in a webinar held by Simone Dosi [@dousi96], Microsoft Student Partner, and coordinated by Prof. Grazia Pisano. From 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, students will hone their understanding of tools and techniques for videogame development.

The videogame market provides significant employment opportunities, in Italy, too. In 2015, the market was worth nearly one billion euro (€952,172) and exhibited a 6.9% growth over 2014. Moreover, all market segments had positive sales software (+6%), consoles (+8.7%) and accessories (+7%) [data: Associazione Editori Sviluppatori Videogiochi Italiani).

RaiNews, Who are the Italian videogame developers? Whats the turnover of this sector in Italy? These issues were addressed at the Games Industry Day in Rome with the presentation of the third survey on the sector. A report by Celia Guimaraes.

Project Future ReCoded (March 2016 - February 2017), financed by Microsoft YouthSpark and Fondazione Cariplo, and coordinated by the Fondazione Filarete, aims to provide greater professional opportunities for thousands of Italian students through the practice and development of digital and technological skills.
