Elisa Amorelli guest on Buongiorno Regione Lazio on Rai 3

In yesterday's episode of Buongiorno Regione Lazio, broadcast on Rai 3, Elisa Amorelli, communications and social marketing coordinator at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, appeared in the studio to talk about the social phenomenon of “withdrawal” (hikikomori), linked to youth isolation and addiction to smartphones and social media.

During the interview conducted by journalist Mariella Anziano, Elisa described the Foundation's daily work in Italian schools, with a particular focus on preventing digital violence and promoting the conscious use of digital technology. Among the activities mentioned was the meeting with students from the Amaldi High School, organised in collaboration with Rai Cinema and One More Picture, during which short films were screened and discussions and exchanges with the Postal Police were held [see news item Immersive experiences against digital violence].

‘Our challenge,’ explained Elisa, ‘is to build a shared educational system between schools, families and communities to help young people recognise risky situations and ask for help. Not only young people, but also parents need training to understand today's digital language and dynamics.’

The interview is an opportunity to reflect on the Foundation's mission: to bring the right to knowledge to all generations, without excluding anyone.
