Bullying prevention: FMD obtains UNI/PdR 42 certification

The certification also covers the operational offices in Milan and Turin

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS has obtained UNI/PdR 42:2018 certification for its management system dedicated to preventing and combating bullying and cyberbullying, issued by Dasa-Rägister spa. This important result concludes the process begun in recent months, as previously announced on our website, and consolidates the Foundation's structured commitment to promoting safe, inclusive and respectful educational environments, both in schools and in local activities [see the news item Policies against bullying and cyberbullying].

A certification that involves all offices

The certification covers not only the registered office in Rome (Via della Bufalotta), but also the operational offices in:

  • Rome, Via del Quadraro
  • Milan, Via Bergognone
  • Turin, Corso Unione Sovietica

The inclusion of the Milan and Turin offices is a significant step, as it formally extends a shared management model based on procedures, monitoring, prevention and continuous training to the entire organisation.

From the path to governance

UNI/PdR 42:2018 defines the requirements for a structured anti-bullying management system, which includes:

  • clear and formalised policies;
  • procedures for reporting and managing cases;
  • prevention and awareness-raising actions;
  • staff training;
  • monitoring and continuous improvement.

For the Foundation, this is not a formal requirement, but the systematisation of an educational approach that has always integrated digital education, active citizenship and relational well-being.

A commitment consistent with the mission

In a context where the dynamics of bullying and cyberbullying are intertwined with the use of technology and social media, certification strengthens the Foundation's role as a responsible entity in building aware educational communities.

The adoption of a certified system represents a further step towards transparent, measurable and impact-oriented governance, in line with the Foundation's vision: to promote a democratic knowledge society, in which innovation and responsibility go hand in hand.

The certification processes are overseen by consultant Tommaso D'Apolito, management systems assessor, management consultant, trainer and coach. Valentina Gelsomini, head of technical infrastructure and educational resources, also collaborates on the project.
