Creating 3D Games

From 3:330 to 6:30 pm, next Saturday, November 14, children aged 7-13 will be able to participate in a videogame development lab at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym

The lab, held by Coaches Roberta Mazzacane e Alessia Della Verità, is based on the Kodu Game Lab creative environment. This is a free didactic programme developed by Microsoft that allows users to develop a complete game.

Kodu is based on a very user-friendly programming interface with a simple language based entirely on icons, specifically developed for the creation of videogames.

Kodu allows young men and women to develop advanced game design concepts in a simple, direct and intuitive manner. The main character, Kodu, can move through a series of environments and scenario fending off enemies. The game is coded with simple clicks. All you need to insert a tree, an enemy or a house is a click. And you can choose the characteristics of objects in the same way.

The programme is compatible with both the Xbox console and with Windows PCs. In both cases, the interface is entirely based on icons, which makes Kodu an extremely simple programme to use for younger children, tool

If you are interested in participating, please register on EventBrite.  You will need to bring your own PC with a Windows operating system.
