Naples hosts the first Health Challenge by Il Futuro della Cura
How can artificial intelligence improve the work of healthcare professionals without losing sight of what makes care unique: clinical judgement, the relationship with the patient and accountability for decisions?
This is the challenge at the heart of the Health Challenge, scheduled for 23 June, from 2 pm to 6 pm, in the Gaetano Salvatore Lecture Theatre at the Federico II University Hospital in Naples. The initiative marks the first regional stage of the Il Futuro della Cura project, promoted by Fondazione Mondo Digitale in partnership with Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Italia and Microsoft Italia.
Healthcare professionals, university students, researchers and experts will work together in a collaborative innovation lab to discuss the opportunities and limitations of artificial intelligence in healthcare settings. Through participatory methodologies and co-design activities, participants will be asked to develop proposals capable of integrating technological innovation, service organisation and a patient-centred approach.
The Health Challenge stems from the belief that the future of healthcare depends not only on the evolution of technologies, but on the ability to understand, manage and integrate them into care processes. For this reason, the programme focuses on the skills of professionals and dialogue between different disciplines, creating a space for discussion in which to experiment with new ideas and new organisational models.
The initiative forms part of the free training programme The Future of Care, available on the FMD Academy platform, which supports doctors, healthcare professionals and students in acquiring the skills needed to use artificial intelligence in an informed, responsible manner, with a focus on improving the quality of care.
Upon completion of the training programme, certificates of attendance will be issued for individual modules, along with a final micro-certification validated by Roma Tre University.
