The Mediverse in Trieste

Promoting innovation in life sciences

Società italiana di simulazione in medicina (Italian Association for Simulation in Medicine, SIMMED), Società italiana di leadership e management in medicina (Italian Association for Leadership and Management in Medicine, SIMM), Engineering Ingegneria Informatica spa and Meta. On November 8-9, we will be in Trieste to participate in Promoting Innovation in Life Sciences - Friuli Venezia Giulia, The Place to Be, a vast event aiming to promote the research and innovation ecosystem in the life sciences.

The initiative has been promoted by the Regione autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia and developed by the Life Sciences Cluster Friuli Venezia Giulia - Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico Andrea Galvani with The European House-Ambrosetti as content partner .

The event will be held at the Trieste Convention Centre and is open to all parties interested in life sciences: experts, start-ups, companies, research centres, healthcare personnel, students, authorities  and citizens.

Elisa Amorelli, FMD Communications and Social Marketing Coordinator, along with Costanza Andreini from Meta and Gianluca Polegri from Engineering Ingegneria Informatica Spa will participate in the round table entitled “Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence: Impact and Applications” on Wednesday, November 8 (5:15-6:30). FMD will also be present in the showcase area with our initial immersive experiences in the metaverse.

The event will address innovation ecosystems as a lever to promote competitiveness and local growth, AI applied to life sciences, technology transfer, funding mechanisms for the sector, and other issues in medical research ranging from healthy ageing to the challenges of genomics.
