Segrate, 27 Nov. - (Adnkronos) - Rizzoli Education, a publisher of educational materials that has always been committed to providing quality educational content and innovative learning products, presents PariPasso, a project on inclusion and teaching and learning practices focused on inclusive education. This initiative is deeply rooted in the history and DNA of Rizzoli Education and is reflected in the content, initiatives, and study and teaching methods promoted by the publishing house.

‘PariPasso is in line with a well-established publishing practice that places the principle of inclusion at the centre of our attention and is inspired by it in our publishing and training offerings, as demonstrated by our work on gender equality,’ says Annalisa Aceti, General Manager of Sales & Marketing at Rizzoli Education. We have chosen to integrate inclusion into every stage of our publishing work, not as a separate project but as a cross-cutting quality criterion, and from 2026 PariPasso will guide new works for primary and lower secondary schools in order to respond in a concrete and systematic way to the challenges of inclusion. This commitment translates into books, digital resources, teaching tools and training courses. The term PariPasso evokes collaboration, recognising that learning is a journey that is undertaken together. Proceeding hand in hand with the school means walking alongside teachers, students and families, sharing a common goal: to build a truly equitable, innovative school that is capable of valuing uniqueness as a resource.

Validated by a scientific committee of experts in the field, PariPasso is inspired by a number of fundamental principles: the design of teaching tools tailored to the different cognitive styles and learning rhythms of students; the use of personalised, effective and meaningful teaching/learning practices, including through the use of digital content and tools; the valuing of all learners, so that everyone is guaranteed educational success; the promotion of teaching that is always connected to the idea of active, critical and responsible citizenship.

The principles behind the project also form the basis of the PariPasso Manifesto, a declaration of values and intentions that is developed in the following guidelines and objectives: there is no such thing as inclusive teaching separate from “traditional” teaching; a personalised and universal pedagogical approach; personalising teaching to achieve solid and lasting learning; inclusive teaching as a context that promotes educational relationships; “essential knowledge”, but also depth and dialogue between disciplines; promoting reflection on methods and processes; technology and educational innovation, allies of inclusion; inclusion, a shared goal; educational inclusion and social inclusion.

“'In today's Italian schools,”' says Aaron Buttarelli, general manager of Rizzoli Education's Publishing Division, ''teaching based on an inclusive approach is guaranteed from a regulatory point of view, but in everyday reality, everything is more complicated, given the highly differentiated and heterogeneous contexts present in classrooms. PariPasso is a project created to promote, support and foster a culture of inclusion. By its very nature, it is an open and continuously updated process. The principles set out in the Manifesto will be the guide we will follow in the design and implementation of all our educational interventions in the broadest sense, aimed at teachers and students, starting, of course, with school textbooks."

PariPasso is an inclusion project with a solid scientific structure, validated by a committee of experts who share the guidelines and supervise the quality of the project, ensuring its effectiveness and consistency with the educational objectives. Participants include Giorgia Ortu La Barbera (psychologist), Roberto Trinchero (Professor of Experimental Pedagogy at the Department of Philosophy and Educational Sciences of the University of Turin), Fondazione Bullone, Centro Leonardo, and Fondazione Mondo Digitale Ets. The members of the Committee will attend live training events organised by the publishing house, bringing their voice and experience in the field and offering ideas, insights and strategies on specific issues related to inclusion. PariPasso will find clear and visible application first and foremost in Rizzoli Education textbooks and, over time, will guarantee a series of services and content to support all components of the school world: communicative and educational accessibility of all content, continuing along the path already adopted with the website layout; specific and ongoing training for teachers on the project's themes; live streaming and over 30 events across the country between February and April; in-depth articles and promotion of best practices on the publisher's website to address the issue in schools; content on the HUB Scuola digital teaching platform; contests and podcasts.
