“I have learned more by working with robots for on year, than in five years of studying electronics,” confesses Sean Davoli (21) who studied at the Marconi Galletti School in Domodossola where he discovered the world of robots.

Together with a dozen friends, all young Robotics enthusiasts – average age 22 - Sean created a no-profit association called Elettra Robotics Lab to promote Robotics in Schools, amongst the new generations, especially in poorer areas lacking funding.

Since receiving his diploma, he has tutored younger team and taught them about cooperative teamwork. “To infinity and beyond, that’s how I see our association as a non-profit,” explains Jean, who is also toying with the idea of a start-up, but as a further experience: the mission of the association is set in stone and will not be modified.

Jean will be at the RomeCup 2015 with a double role: as a coach of a joint team from the Domodossola Marconi Galletti School and the Rome Democrito Team that will compete in the "Soccer secondary Open League" and in the Showcase Area to present his 30-50 cm. humanoid robots.

To understand Sean’s determination and passion, you really have to listen to him. He was interviewed by Danny Grano [@danny_FMD] who works with Francesca Del Duca on the organization of the RomeCup2015 (March 25-27).
