WeDo and Stop Motion

Next week, the Phyrtual Innovation Gym will host two new labs for young children: "We Do Lab – Build Your First Robot!” and “Stop Motion with Minecraft!

In the first lab, children will use WeDo Construction Kits to build and programme simple Lego models that connected to a computer will allow them to experience manual didactic activities, work in groups, identify alternative solutions and learn how to programme a real robot. The lab will be held on Saturday, April 2 (3:30-6:30 pm) with Coach Carlo Coletta. The cost is €10 per child. Registration is required on EventBrite.

The “Stop Motion with Minecraft!” Lab will allow children to develop a stop motion animation with the characters from the famous videogame developed and printed in 3D. The young programmers will use specific software to create multimedia objects.

Stop Motion Animation is a fun and simple technique that can be used to produce short videos. The technique is based on the development of a series of photos that then become photograms in a video. Stop Motion Animations can be produced with any object, creativity and imagination. The lab, which is dedicated to students aged 6-11, will be held on Saturday, April 2 (3:30-6:30 pm) and held by Coach Paola De Marco. The cost is €10 per child. Registration is required on EventBrite.
