The role of artificial intelligence in education and professional training

What opportunities can generative artificial intelligence offer schools and the education of young people? How is the role of teachers and trainers changing in a rapidly evolving technological context?

These are some of the questions at the heart of the meeting When Generative AI meets education: potential for young people, scheduled for Thursday 23 October at 6 p.m. at the headquarters of the Associazione Civita (Piazza Venezia 11, Rome). The initiative is part of a series of events promoted by the Associazione Civita in collaboration with the Fondazione Kainòn ETS and the Rome University of Fine Arts (Rufa), inspired by the XV Rapporto Civita Next Gen AI.

The Report, produced with Siae and Swg, explores the relationship between AI and creativity, with a survey conducted on 4,700 creatives and 1,500 young people between the ages of 18 and 34. The picture that emerges is complex: while emotions such as fear and sadness prevail in the cultural world, young people show a more open but cautious attitude, calling for clear rules at the international level. Only 15% of creatives consider AI useful in music, 27% in cinema; among young people, on the other hand, 62% recognise its potential in mobility and 57% in health, but only 10% say they are truly competent.

Speakers include Elisa Amorelli, head of marketing and communications at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, who will share her experience gained in educational projects on AI applied to schools, vocational training and inclusion.

The programme includes presentations by experts from the worlds of publishing, culture, education and industry, including Derrick De Kerckhove (Osservatorio Tuttimedia), Lorenzo Maternini (Randstad AI & Humanities Foundation), Egidio Sangue (Fonditalia) and Paolo Troncon (Steffani Conservatory). The meeting will be moderated by Emanuela Totaro, Secretary General of Fondazione Kainòn ETS.

Participation is free, but registration is required by filling out the online form.
