The Transnational Training Programme, organized as part of European Project Path to a Job, included a number of Lego Serious Play (LSP) sessions with Cecilia Stajano, Lego® Serious Play® Trained LSP facilitator [see programme].

"The LSP Method was used to devise a scenario of how participants imanged a city where there is a service for NEETs and orientation for the most fragile individuals," explains Cecilia Stajano, who also coordinates the School Innovation Sector for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

At the Phyrtual Innovation Gym Activity Space, participants first worked individually and then in small groups to unite and connect all the constructions to which they had given a meaning.

Each group was asked to develop a construction providing an answer to the 5 Ws:

  • what - is this service for
  • when - would that service needed
  • where - should this service placed
  • who - can benefit from this service
  • why - should this service be present

"The collective scenario allowed participants to weigh all the pros and cons of an idea city providing support services to disadvantage individuals. This highlighted that, even if all services are perfectly represented, if action is not based on individual motivation to change, it will be difficult to virtuously activate after an initial contact with a job centre,” explains Cecilia Stajano.

In the video: one of the final phases of the exercise, in which Cecilia Stajano shows how to create “connections.”
