Designing Games

As part of the Computer Science First Project promoted with con Google, this year, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale has developed Digital Rooms, an additional opportunity for teachers who have participated in the CS First training. The digital rooms provide an arena for discussing issues and the platform functions, including curriculum mapping with the development of didactic projects. Moreover, it provides an opportunity for the informal sharing of useful information, experiences and good practices amongst teachers and educators.

Each Digital Room addresses a specific issue. The next appointment, scheduled for July 1st (4:30 – 6:00 pm), will focus on "How to Design a Game on CS First". The session will be held by Vincenzo Di Pumpo and Marco Brocchieri.

Registration is mandatory: on-line module

COACHES

Vincenzo Di Pumpo

"You can only know what you love." (Augustine)

Born in Puglia in 1979, after having earned two specialistic degrees in the humanities, Vincenzo di Pumpo has taught religion in primary school since 2008. In an attempt to introduce subjects that the students would be interested in – and constant professional updating – I looked for and introduced a range of innovative didactic strategies and digital tools. Today, I am sharing my experiences with other teachers and promote it throughout my school as proof that one need not be an engineer to apply digital didactic activities.

Marco Brocchieri

A STEM educator specialised in the use of new technology in schools, Marco collaborates with various organisations in Rome and the Regione Marche. He is a coach at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym for projects addressing the Internet of Things and Educational Robotics. In 2017, he developed a kit to teach robotics in Fab Labs and Makerspaces.
