The story of Alice and Giada Cancellario on the Job Digital Lab blog
There are stories that you read and then forget. And then there are stories that bring people together, turning a shared interest into a community. It’s always been this way, but today it can also start with a screen, a shared post, or a conversation that begins on social media.
This is what Alice and Giada Cancellario discovered when they decided to leave jobs that no longer reflected who they were to set up Heloola, an independent publishing house born out of the belief that books are not merely objects, but opportunities for connection. For them, every story is a window onto the world, capable of making us feel less alone and of creating genuine relationships.
In the new article published on the blog of Job Digital Lab – a project created in collaboration with Ing Italia – Nicoletta Vulpetti shares their story and shows how social media, too, can become a space for culture and participation when used to amplify ideas, authors and conversations that deserve to be shared. Because building a community isn’t about amassing followers, but about creating spaces where people recognise themselves through stories.
Alice and Giada took part in WeLead: Women Leading the Way, the event dedicated to women entrepreneurs, which took place in Milan on 6 July.
