With Fattore J, a training opportunity to discover the value of associationism
Ail Bologna, one of the branches of the Italian Association Against Leukaemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma, as part of its voluntary activities aimed at local schools, is opening the doors of its headquarters to 12 secondary school students for a unique educational opportunity dedicated to discovering the role of associations in supporting people affected by lymphoma, leukaemia or multiple myeloma.
The initiative is part of the Fattore J project, carried out with Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Italia, to develop empathy, awareness and social responsibility in young people through educational courses on health and well-being.
A concrete experience of active citizenship
Students can participate in one or more activities at Casa Ail, in Via Palagi 16/3, and the Ufficio Ail within the Sant'Orsola Institute (Pad. 8), choosing from various dates in May. Each shift involves participation on several consecutive days, with a maximum of two students per group.
The operational tasks, divided by location, include:
at Casa Ail
- support for secretarial activities
- welcoming guests and volunteers, with orientation activities alongside staff
- filing and classifying paper and digital documents
- handling incoming phone calls
- entering data into the database.
at the Ail office in the institute
- support for the secretariat and handling phone calls
- administering questionnaires to patients in the waiting room
- collaboration in data collection for the preparation of the social report.
An activity recognised as PCTO
Participation in the project allows students to receive official recognition within the framework of the Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation (PCTO), with the issue of a certificate for a minimum of 6 hours, based on the time actually dedicated.
