A new story from the Job Digital Lab blog: Redona Tela’s journey

Some people work with words, whilst others seek, above all, to give a voice to those who struggle to be heard. This is the thread running through the story of Redona Tela, the protagonist of a new story published on the blog of Job Digital Lab, the project promoted by Fondazione Mondo Digitale and ING Italia to support digital skills and entrepreneurship.

Redona works as a freelance SEO specialist: she deals with website optimisation, search engine positioning and copywriting. But her journey has not been straightforward. She started working whilst studying, first as a shop assistant and then at a web agency on the outskirts of Turin. From working as a part-time secretary, she moved on to writing articles for corporate blogs, whilst building her skills step by step: university studies, professional certifications and registration with the association of freelance journalists.

Her passion for writing, however, began long before her career. It stems from her personal history: her relationship with her non-verbal, autistic brother, who taught her that communication means, first and foremost, listening to what the other person cannot say. It also stems from the experience of someone who, having arrived in Italy from Albania at the age of six, soon learnt to act as a bridge between different languages, cultures and worlds.

Today, Redona brings this same perspective to her work and social engagement. She is collaborating with an association in Moncalieri that supports people with disabilities, helping them to better communicate their initiatives and reach more people.

Because, as she explains in the story, her true goal is not merely to write or optimise content: it is to bring people’s identity and voice to the world.

The story is accompanied by the narrative perspective of Nicoletta Vulpetti, who has always been passionate about stories of identity and change.

Redona Tela took part in the regional event Entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and the need to ask the right questions, held on 11 March in Turin. In recounting this first public speaking experience on her LinkedIn profile, Redona shares a reflection that captures the essence of her journey: “Artificial intelligence is a powerful tool. But it remains a tool. The risk is not just falling behind, but also moving forward in the wrong way.” A passage that captures the heart of her story: technology matters, but it is the human perspective, the ability to give people a voice, that makes the difference.
