The story of Adriano Galizzi, told by Job Digital Lab and highlighted by the press
‘I have always been curious about what I was eating. Ever since I was a child, I asked what was on my plate, where it came from, how it was made...’ This is how the story of Adriano Galizzi, an agricultural entrepreneur from Bergamo and founder of Agrigal, begins. His story, collected by Nicoletta Vulpetti on the blog of Job Digital Lab, is that of a young man who transforms his passion for the land and family traditions into a business capable of innovating, creating jobs and restoring value to the local area.
From his first experiments with Gandino corn, grown during his university days, to the courageous decision to turn down an engineering contract to start his own business: ‘I realised there was room in the market... I wrote a business plan and convinced my father to finance me. He trusted me.’ It was a journey of trial and error and continuous improvement: ‘Don't bite off more than you can chew,’ his grandparents used to say. Today, Adriano grows, processes and distributes his own products and says: ‘I cultivate the land to nourish it, not to exploit it. And I hope that all this leaves a positive mark, even if small, but that it contributes to making the world a better place for everyone.’
Stories like Adriano's embody the spirit of Job Digital Lab, the programme promoted by Fondazione Mondo Digitale and ING Italia, which in recent years has trained tens of thousands of people in digital, cross-cutting and empowerment skills.
The media has also highlighted this commitment: Italia Oggi (6 August 2025) dedicated an article to Job Digital Lab, highlighting the social impact of the project and its ability to offer concrete tools to citizens of all ages.
