CS First provides an introduction to coding in a simple and functional manner. I used it for Computer Science, History (helping students to understand the passage of time in a more interesting manner), Social Sciences and Science (conducting experiments and to show the fundamentals of biodiversity). Lessons on the water cycle and the birth of the Earth were particularly useful for children with learning disorders. Moreover, we also developed a project bringing together narration and music with dialogues, props and moving characters.
The free Google CS First Platform has been integrated with a new section on the experiences of teachers. Today, we share the didactic story of Miram Fucini, a support teacher at the Rome Istituto comprensivo Tullio De Mauro.
Miriam comes from a family of teachers and works in a primary school with students with learning disorders. She is a “super teacher” for the Computer Science First Project. In the photo, she is the third from the left.
