Education, technology and innovation

For the first time at Bett 2026 in London, from 21 to 23 January

For the first time, a small delegation from the Fondazione Mondo Digitale is participating in BETT (British Educational Training Technology), the largest international event dedicated to educational technology. From 21 to 23 January 2026, London will welcome educators, teachers, experts in educational innovation, companies and policy makers from around the world to the ExCeL London exhibition centre.

The Foundation's presence at BETT is part of a process of listening, discussion and continuous learning that it pursues in order to improve the quality of its educational offerings: closely observing emerging trends, engaging in dialogue with those who design educational solutions at a global level, and identifying practices and tools that can strengthen the impact of programmes on schools, teachers, students and educational communities.

A global benchmark for EdTech

Founded in 1985, BETT boasts over 40 years of history and is considered a privileged observatory on the state of the art of educational innovation. The event focuses on software and hardware for teaching, digital learning platforms, solutions for teacher training and assessment, with a growing focus on inclusion, accessibility and network security. The 2026 edition confirms impressive numbers: over 35,000 participants from more than 120 countries, around 600 international exhibitors and more than 400 training events, including conferences, seminars, workshops and meetings with classes.

The key themes of BETT 2026

Among the central themes of the programme, artificial intelligence naturally stands out, featuring in talks and workshops dedicated to its informed use in educational contexts. Alongside AI, there will also be space for:

  • assessment supported by digital tools
  • inclusion and personalisation of learning strategies
  • cybersecurity and the protection of minors online
  • learning inside and outside school, throughout life
  • virtual and augmented reality and new forms of experiential learning.

Among the most participatory activities are the Table Talks, 45-minute discussion sessions between teachers and educators, and the Tech User Labs, expert-led workshops designed specifically for teacher training on the challenges of educational innovation.

An investment in educational quality

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale's participation in BETT 2026 represents a strategic investment in quality, continuous updating and international openness. Returning from London with new perspectives, relationships and ideas means strengthening the ability to design training courses that are increasingly effective, inclusive and responsive to the real needs of local areas and people.
