A workshop to bridge the gender gap and boost youth employment
On 27 November, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa will host the workshop “Gender gap: beyond the divide”, an event dedicated to businesses, start-ups and innovative organisations that want to contribute to creating new professional opportunities for young people.
The meeting is part of the Prodigy programme, which stands for PROmoting Digital and Green Skills for Youth, an innovative European project for the growth and professional qualification of young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEETs). It is funded under ESF+ Social Innovation+.
In Palermo, the workshop aims to strengthen collaboration with the private sector and actively involve companies interested in supporting the project through the cluster of partner companies. The goal is to identify shared strategies to reduce the gender gap in the professions of the future and enhance the skills of young people in an ever-changing labour market.
The event is organised by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, in collaboration with BeKind and Junior Enterprise Sicilia (JESic), and will be moderated by Monica Guizzardi, a leading figure in innovative entrepreneurship and female empowerment in the region.
The workshop represents an opportunity to transform dialogue into concrete projects: from digital and green skills to gender equality, from entrepreneurial networks to job placement opportunities. An important milestone in Prodigy's journey towards inclusive and sustainable growth [see also the news item Green skills are growing].
