The new school year of Project OpenSpace continues at full speed. Today, the second week of activities continues at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym of the Milan Madre Teresa di Calcutta School. Young coach Irene Caretti will introduce students to the digital manufacturing tools in the school’s fab lab. Labs will be held Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 1:30 pm and from 2:30 to 4:30 pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. A partner school, the Istituto comprensivo De Andreis, will participate on Friday.

 

From Monday to Friday, 8 to 12, Robotics labs will be held in the suburbs of Palermo at the Istituto comprensivo Sperone-Pertini. Students in year two will learn how to build and programme small robots with Coach Marco Brocchieri, while on Wednesdays and Thursdays (12 – 2 pm) there will be teacher training labs.

 

OpenSpace – Spaces for the Active Participation of the Educational Community, selected by Con i Bambini as part of the Fund to contrast the educational poverty of minors (Bando Adolescenza), is a four-year project that aims to make communities more inclusive and responsible, promoting the educational and cultural growth and the empowerment of pre-adolescents and adolescents. The project is being held in suburban areas of BariMilanPalermo and Reggio Calabria.
