The week begins with a special new initiative for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale community: to mark its 25th anniversary, the first summer camp for the children of staff and collaborators is getting underway – a corporate welfare initiative that brings the same educational, creative and inclusive approach that underpins the Foundation’s projects into its internal life. The Innovation Gym thus also becomes a space for families, offering educational, workshop-based and fun, creative activities designed for girls and boys.
Alongside this initiative, this week’s programme focuses on the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare, education and social wellbeing: from the important discussion on “Data and Diagnosis” with the Rome Medical Association to the Health Challenge in Naples, dedicated to the future of healthcare. Whilst the new edition of the Turin Summer Camp with Miss Robot gets underway, the week’s programme is enriched by reflections on the ethics of AI and institutional events such as the presentation of the practical guide ‘AI at School’. There will also be award ceremonies, including the Smart & Social Awards at Municipio V, and practical insights for citizens and professionals through the digital facilitation centres, the ‘Roma Capitale Digitale’ programme and the Digital Bridge courses.
Notable events include “Artificial Intelligence and Education: Social Transformation and Recommendations for Reform”, scheduled for 30 June in the Aula Toti at Campo Luiss on Viale Romania in Rome. Mirta Michilli, Director-General, will speak at the study day for the presentation of the Astrid position paper.
