Barometer and Smartphone

Barometer and Smartphone

The Agenda digitale magazine on the digital School Channel hosts a new article by FMD Director General Mirta Michilli. Starting out with the story of the barometer and the creative applications developed at the School of Physics for Arduino and Smartphone, the article underlines how it is fundamental for schools and universities to teach intellectual flexibility and how to think in a free, innovative and creative manner, especially in times of crisis and pandemic.

Now, the important thing to do would be to make a list of all the lab activities that can be held at a distance to make school livelier and more interactive even during emergencies. We do not know what awaits us during the school year that has just begun, but we certainly no longer have any alibi. We cannot be caught unprepared. It is now fundamental that teachers have a good understanding of the application of technology to didactic activities. This will allow us to assuage the damage of a health emergency and the consequent interruption of face-to-face schooling.
