This morning, three fifth-year classes from the Domizia Lucilla secondary school, led by headteacher Adalgisa Maurizio, are taking part in a training session dedicated to the conscious transition from school to the world of work. The activity, led by Enrico Bersani, includes a one-hour session for each class and is part of the guidance activities planned by the Roma Rigenera Impresa project.

During the meeting, students worked on three key areas to prepare for the choices they will face in the coming months:

  • Career guidance and self-entrepreneurship, with useful tools and perspectives for imagining their career path and evaluating different opportunities.
  • Conscious use of social media for personal branding, to learn how to build an authentic digital image consistent with one's goals.
  • Development of soft skills, through practical exercises in public speaking and elevator pitches to gain confidence and effectiveness in communication.

A training event that also becomes an opportunity for personal growth: a safe space in which to exchange ideas, test oneself and reflect on the responsibilities and opportunities of the transition to adulthood.

The Roma Rigenera Impresa project

The meeting is part of Roma Rigenera Impresa, an initiative of the Department of Productive Activities, Equal Opportunities and Investment Attraction of Roma Capitale, designed to promote talent in the neighbourhoods of Tor Bella Monaca, Corviale and Santa Maria della Pietà.

The programme, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) - Integrated Urban Plans, offers technical and professional training courses with final micro-certification, simulated business activities, modules dedicated to Business Models and Digital Marketing, and digital support initiatives for citizens, entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs.
