Among the proposals is a course on gender equality in STEM
The ninth edition of the catalogue of courses for transversal skills and guidance (PCTO) promoted by Roma Capitale for the new school year 2025-26 is now online. Secondary schools in Rome can sign up by 3 October, choosing up to two courses.
The courses, which run from September 2025 to May 2026, offer students practical and laboratory-based experiences on strategic topics: career guidance, business start-ups, safety, civil protection, digital skills and professions of the future. The main objective is to develop soft skills, the cross-cutting skills essential for consciously facing professional challenges.
Among the proposals is the course “Coding Girls. Artificial intelligence and cybersecurity”, created by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS in collaboration with Roma Capitale. This is an innovative educational experience designed to strengthen young people's digital awareness and encourage female students to participate in STEM courses.
The programme includes three online meetings dedicated to digital security, personal data protection and artificial intelligence, as well as a group project on a simulated cyber attack. Students will work in teams, experimenting with defence strategies and receiving personalised mentoring. The best projects will be presented at the final event organised by Roma Capitale.
