The challenge and internship with Italgas, then the workshop with LinkedIn. The story of Jenny Turrin

When training meets the right opportunities, boundaries expand. This is what happened to Jenny Turrin, a young graduate in Sustainability Management, who, after taking her first steps in the Changebot challenge with Italgas and participating in workshops and coaching sessions at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, found her way into an international company. Her story is a concrete example of how targeted experiences and personalised support can translate into professional opportunities that transcend geographical boundaries.

It was a “return to the family” for Jenny Turrin, who in 2022 took part in the Fondazione Mondo Digitale initiative “Changebot with Italgas”, where she also completed her curricular internship. After graduating in “Sustainability Management” in the spring of 2024 from the University of Trento (Department of Economics), she immediately responded to job offers from all over Europe. 'Last September, I started working for a company in Bolzano that manufactures charging stations for electric cars. It was a nice place to work, but the job wasn't really what I wanted to do,‘ says Jenny. ’I needed to be in contact with people and wanted to experience a more international environment. Around that time, in November, I took part in the workshop “LinkedIn. Skills for a new start” and then had an individual session with a coach from Dublin." It was an auspicious meeting, and Jenny says she remembered that detail when, a few weeks later, she responded to an advertisement for a position in Dublin and got the job. ‘Today, I work for a big tech company that owns property design software, and this new position perfectly matches both my desire to work with people from all over the world and my university education.’ Jenny responded to the ad shortly after putting the advice she received into practice: ‘I consider LinkedIn to be a very interesting community, and it was helpful to get positive feedback from the coach on my profile and to put some of the advice into practice to improve it. In particular, I added information about some interesting projects I worked on during my university studies that could enrich a young profile like mine,’ she concluded.
